Surfer tickets grant you full access to the whole event and include 60 minutes of surfing as part of the competition. Participant tickets don’t include surfing, but provide access to all other aspects of the day including the participant pack worth hundreds of dollars. Live Podcast & Afterparty tickets include entry to the Warren View Hotel afterparty in Newtown and a free beer on arrival. Note: This ticket does not include Urbnsurf activities or a gift bag.

After all the surf action and sustainable building expo at URBN Surf wraps up, we're getting on the road to the Warren View Hotel in Newtown for the Ain't That Swell Podcast crew of Jed Smith and Vaughan Blakey with us for a live edition of the podcast. You know what they're all about. It's gonna be massive and full of laughs. They're also going to host a special Salty Brains Trivia during the day as part of the competition format. You're keeeeding?!
Tracks Party
After the Live Ain't That Swell Podcast, we get into party mode, with a frothy head bang, powered by Young Henry's and the infamous party planners, Tracks, bringing you live music by Goons of Doom, supported by The Punk Rock Hillbilly. Get ready to celebrate your team's victory or dance off your losing blues, promising an unforgettable way to cap off the night.

Teams
Join as an individual; your scores reflect your individual effort but contribute to your team. Rally your colleagues, gather your mates, and form a powerhouse team of 4 surfers.
Start & Finish Time
The Trade Up Cup kicks off after smoko, with the opening ceremony at 12:30 pm sharp. Get a morning's work done, drop tools, grab ya board and ya dancing shoes, and arrive by midday to ensure you're settled in time. The live podcast and party happens at the epic Warren View Hotel from 5pm, official party wraps up at midnight.
Parking
There’s 2 hours of free parking available, but it gets quite expensive after that. Be sure to validate your parking ticket at URBNSURF or Applejack. Since this is an all-day event, we recommend using Uber or other rideshare services for convenience.
Children
This event may not be suitable for children.
Refund Policy
No refunds. Tickets can be swapped, please update the name on the ticket to the new attendee.

1. Warm Up Surf Sessions Available
We have secured first preference for surf sessions on November 28th, from 10:00-11:00 am and 11:00 am-12:00 pm. If you're interested in purchasing a warm up session, you can book through Sam Jones, URBNSURF Events Coordinator, at sam@urbnsurfsydney.com.
2. Learn to Surf – Beginner's Packages
Cost: From $104
Learn to surf and get stoked!
This 1 hour 45 minute session will run from approximately 2:30 pm to 4:15 pm. It includes:
- Board and wetsuit hire
- A 30-minute briefing, land practice, and warm-up
- 1 hour of surfing in The Bays under the guidance of an expert coach
- 15 minutes to cool down and recap
