It started as a campout. Now it's a movement.
The Water Women program began as a single gathering on coastal Country, 100+ women, guided by First Nations women, coming together for three days of learning, connection, and regeneration.
What happened next surprised even us.
Women went home different. They started clubs. They built advocacy skills. They shared stories that shifted the culture. They brought First Nations cultural protocols into their communities. They became leaders.
So we built the infrastructure to match.
The Water Women program now operates across the below four pillars.
Water Women Campout
11-13 September 2026
Flat Rock Tent Park, Ballina NSW
An annual weekend of women in nature coming together to help shape the future of surf culture and protect what we love. Through a series of workshops, wellness, connection and celebration we focus on educating and empowering women to own their place in and out of the water.
West Coast Water Women is coming in 2027.
Stay tuned.
Walk the Nose, Find Your Place
A noseriding workshop with Surfers for Climate co-founder Belinda Baggs. Belinda brings her noseriding craft, her love of the ocean, and her belief that belonging in the ocean is the first step to protecting it. Part technique, part storytelling, part environmental awakening.
You'll leave a better surfer. You might leave a different person.
More clinics coming to surf communities across Australia. Subscribe to be the first to know.
Clubs that Care for Waves & Country
A national network of female-led boardrider clubs built by women who love the ocean and are committed to protecting it. Part surf community, part advocacy network, part sisterhood. Clubs where showing up for the waves and showing up for Sea Country are one and the same.
Stay tuned. Coming Soon.
Collective Storytelling
Women becoming the storytellers surf culture never had and the ambassadors it always needed. The Water Women program brings women surfers together to share their stories, build their voices, and empower each other to lead. Creating a ripple effect of authentic advocacy that reaches far beyond the water.
Your story matters. Your voice can change things.
