Big Oil Defeated World Heritage Next
There’s an opportunity right now to make the Nullabor and Great Australian Bight a UNESCO World Heritage Area, but it isn’t going to happen without the Australian surfing community rising to the occasion one last time.
It is the Final Fight for the Bight to get this majestic and richly biodiverse area of Australia locked in with World Heritage status.
This isn’t just another campaign, it’s the final round in a fight to keep the Bight wild and free from big oil, forever.

Wild Waves Forever
Too far to enjoy. Too good to destroy.
Hard to believe, but there's still waves around Australia that most surfers will never see, let alone ride. Scott Reef, hundreds of kilometres off the WA coast, is one of them. And right now, Woodside wants to turn it into an industrial gas field.
The Gift that gives back
With record high temps across the country, you need sunscreen more than ever, so why not spend $99 on a Thriving Ocean membership and get a $99 SunButter voucher?
Swimmers wear out. Boards get dinged. But a Surfers for Climate membership? That’s the gift that keeps on giving, to you, your mates and family, and to the oceans.
A Thriving Oceans membership gives Surfers for Climate the power to protect the places you love. So if you’ve been thinking about giving something back to the ocean, this is it.
We've created diverse entry points that meet different communities where they are
Just as surfers need the right spot to catch a perfect wave, people need the right entry point to engage with climate action. Take-off too early or too late - you'll wipe out. Find the sweet spot and you're in for the ride of your life.

Carpark Cinema features climate impact film screenings, panel discussions with experts, and changemakers, fostering conversations and inspiring action on climate change.

Salty Brains Surf Trivia engages surfers with climate science through nationwide trivia nights. Test your 'gnarledge' and enjoy entertaining events that combine fun and education.

The Trade Up program empowers surf-tradies to tackle climate change both at work and in the water through greener building practices and collective advocacy for policy change.

The Blue Minds Youth Program addresses the negative impact of climate concerns on young Australians' mental health by offering free expert-led workshops that empower students to understand their role in the shift to renewable energy and a regenerative economy.

Silver Surfers is a program developed by Surfers for Climate that is helping older Australians take-off safely into ocean conservation through free bodyboard lessons that bring joy, connection, and community (with a purpose).

What started as an annual gathering on coastal Country, grew into something none of us predicted. Women went home different. They started clubs, built advocacy skills, brought First Nations cultural protocols into their communities, and became leaders. So we built the infrastructure to match.
